Design, delivery, assembly and commissioning of a pickling crane

You need a crane for the automated pickling of stainless steel components. This so-called pickling crane is a one-off and was therefore built by EPMC Europe Crane Solutions in accordance with customer requirements. The process started with an assessment of customer requirements using flow sheets, followed by the design, drawing, manufacture and delivery of the mechanical and electrical installation. EPMC Europe Crane Solutions was also responsible for the design and implementation of the automation using a Siemens S7 PLC with touch screen panel for tracking, entering, modifying and selecting the pickling finishing programme. For preservation the construction was galvanised and a three-layer polyurethane paint system was applied.
