New overhead crane for waste processing company HVC

The overhead crane belonging to waste processing company HVC had to be replaced. EPMC Europe Crane Solutions was awarded this prestigious contract and delivered a new double girder overhead crane from GH Cranes. During the day shift the overhead crane is used continuously and this necessitates constant monitoring to prevent downtime. The new crane is equipped with frequency controllers, a black box system, a service platform, zone security and a fixed load hook. The entire electrical control system is situated in a MCC room, providing optimum protection against dust and moisture resulting in an even more reliable installation.

Monitoring

Using an Airpes Black Box system enables us to monitor how the overhead crane is used. The system records the number of operating hours in relation to the distance travelled and the weight (SWP) so that we can carry out ‘just in time’ maintenance. This means that the customer only has downtime when this is absolutely necessary.
