Project Reference 300t Audacia
Electrical overhaul 300ton offshore crane for Allseas' Audacia
Old crane of Solitaire completely overhauled. For Allseas we received the nice order to completely overhaul the old crane of the Solitaire with a new electrical control, after which it was placed on the Audacia. Quite a job, because the crane was on its side during the overhaul. The crane is equipped with Vacon controllers and an AFE of 1.2 MW (!). By means of a power meter the available power is measured so that during hotellast (the ship in the harbor in "rest") the speeds are reduced. A Siemens S7 1500F safety plc was used for the control. The crane was also fitted with a new cabin, which we had built by our partner Petrokab. The cabin came complete with a new control seat and with new joysticks. As an extra job we provided the crane with "manriding".
Remote Service
It was very important to Allseas that we could watch the installation in real time and make changes from our office. That is why we installed Remote Service here as well. The crane is equipped with an engineering station. The testing and the test load with water bags was carried out to everyone's satisfaction under the watchful eye of Lloyds, while the ship was at the quay at Damen Verolme in Rotterdam. The job was carried out and completed to the full satisfaction of both parties.
