Deliver overhauled container crane for Westerman Logistics
This container crane from Zurich has been completely overhauled and fitted with new drives and controls.
The container crane was formerly in service at a rail terminal in Zurich. In cooperation with Teichmann, the crane was brought from Switzerland, overhauled and made suitable for the inland container terminal in Hasselt.
The span was modified to an impressive 50m span. All motors have been replaced for Siemens motors. For cat driving, the entire drives have been replaced. The cab was replaced for a new Petrokb cab with new crane driver's seat with joysticks. The controls are completely in-house, redesigned with modern Schneider frequency controllers and AFEs (Active Front End) for delivering back all braking energy. Thus, this crane is not only green in color, but also green for the environment because of the energy savings from this new control system.

For safety and ease of operation, an ergonomic seat from Petrokab was installed in the new cab and the cat is equipped with camera systems to have visibility backwards and on the load. There are two E spaces, one for crane driving and one for on the cat with lifting and crane driving. Both spaces are insulated and air-conditioned. After everything was delivered, installed and connected, test loads were performed after which the official commissioning of the container crane took place.
The container crane has already unloaded the necessary ships and moved container. The terminal is a great success.
